About Chocolate Near You

Chocolate Near You exists for one search: you want good chocolate, and you want it close by. We collect public business data for chocolate shops, chocolatiers and candy stores, organise it by state and city, and rank it so the best options are at the top.

Where the listings come from

Listing details come from public Google business data, gathered with a data export service and refreshed on a regular schedule. That covers names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, opening hours, ratings and review counts.

We drop businesses marked as permanently closed and anything that never mentions chocolate, candy or confectionery.

We do not write reviews of individual shops and we never invent details. If a shop has no hours, phone number or rating on file, its page says so plainly. Call before a special trip, particularly around holidays.

How the ranking works

Every state and city page is ranked by a weighted rating. A shop's Google average is pulled toward the overall average until it has enough reviews to stand on its own, so a perfect score from three reviews does not outrank a 4.8 from a thousand. No business can pay for placement.

Speciality tags

Tags such as truffles, fudge or artisan chocolate come from each shop's own Google category and description. They are a pointer, not a promise. If you have an allergy or need a specific product, ask the shop directly.

Photos

Where a listing has a photo, it is served from Google and belongs to its owner. Those links expire, so the site shows an illustration instead whenever a photo is unavailable.

How the site is paid for

The directory is free to use and supported by advertising and affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Ads and affiliate links are labelled, and neither advertisers nor affiliate partners have any say over listings or rankings.
